Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has admitted that he prefers to play as a box-to-box-type midfielder after making his first start for Everton on Saturday.

Donny van de Beek needed to leave Manchester United in January but going to Everton may have been the wrong decision.
That's according to former United man Paul Parker, who believes it could be hard for the playmaker to flourish at the struggling Toffees.
Van de Beek finally got his wish of a January loan exit granted on transfer deadline day as he moved to Goodison Park for the remainder of the season.
The Dutchman has found opportunities difficult to come by since signing for United from Ajax and 18 months ago and didn't start a single match in the Premier League for the club in the current campaign.
Van de Beek has shown the quality he possesses before, however, especially in the Amsterdamers' run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019, and Parker thinks he had to get away from Manchester in order to prove himself once again.
"Man Utd have lost players, but I think they're players who needed to go," the retired defender told BonusCodeBets.
"Van de Beek, needed to go. He needs the opportunity to prove himself and I really hope it works out at Everton."
"He goes there and proves people wrong. He deserves that and only he can make that happen, by going there and proving a point."
However, Parker reckons it might be hard for him to achieve that at Everton.
The Merseyside outfit have struggled this season and are currently down in 16th place, leading to Frank Lampard replacing Rafa Benitez as manager.
But the relative inexperience of the Chelsea legends makes Parker believe Everton's problems could go on.
"I don't think Everton's the right club at the moment because it wasn't right under the previous two managers," he added.
