Donnie Yen Actioner ‘Raging Fire’ Acquired by Well Go USA For North America (EXCLUSIVE)

International and indie film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Korean film Escape From Mogadishu. It will open in theaters in the U.S. and Canada August 6 following a July 28 release in Korea.

EXCLUSIVE: Motion Picture Exchange (MPX) has sold North American distribution and NFT (non-fungible token) rights of Brian Baumgartner (The Office) music-comedy Electric Jesus to 1091 Pictures.

Saban Films has acquired the North American and UK rights to “Ida Red” starring Frank Grillo, Melissa Leo and Josh Hartnett, the distributor announced on Thursday. John Swab wrote and directed the action thriller, and the supporting cast includes Sofia Hublitz, William Forsythe, Deborah Ann Woll and George “Slaine” Carroll.

Bleecker Street has acquired the North American rights to Stephen Daldry’s latest film “Together,” a dramedy filmed during the pandemic that stars James McAvoy and Sharon Horgan (“Catastrophe”). McAvoy and Horgan play a couple pushed to reflect on both themselves and their relationship amid the abundance of time and stress that the COVID-19 lockdown has presented them.
