Ever since metalwork maestro Dominic Chinea first appeared on our screens back in 2017, the expert craftsman has been delighting viewers week after week with his restoration skills in BBC series: The Repair Shop. From banana barrows to classic cars, vintage signs to movie props, over the years Dominic has seen it all and helped to give a new lease of live back to some dearly cherished items.
Among all those items, one of Dominic’s favourite things to restore is “anything with wheels”, with the star’s own website having highlighted his love of classic motors, motorbikes, and even the odd pushbike in need of some TLC - “Anything with a story,” he proudly declares. But how much is the TV star really worth? Thanks to his restoration work, Dominic has been able to build up a substantial wealth over the years, with people regularly coming to the skilled crafter as they know they can trust his expertise to repair their important items.
According to his most recent statement on Companies House, his limited company, Dominic Chinea Ltd had a net worth of £66,020 in 2023. In addition, the TV star also owns an additional company, Ranalah wheeling machines, which hopes to bring the iconic machines back into favour that were previously used predominantly for the war effort where they were mainly utilised to help build aircraft components used in planes such as the Spitfire.
However, as of 2024, the company is currently dormant. As well as his company and repair work, Dominic also recently revealed he would soon be selling merchandise on his website too, with an announcement post reading: “We’re working really hard to create a range of merchandise that we can share with you.
