Kim Petras has launched her latest release into the pop music stratosphere, and a familiar face has come along for the ride.
Kim Petras has surprise dropped her previously shelved debut album ‘Problématique’.The LP arrived on Monday (September 18) – just three months after her major label debut ‘Feed The Beast‘ – which was previously scrapped after tracks were leaked in August last year.Originally dubbed as her label debut, ‘Problématique’ was first confirmed back in 2021. However, she later announced the album was “scrapped” following songs being shared online.“I know for the fans, it was very hard to see a whole album go away — for me, too,” Petras said whilst speaking to Billboard in 2022, “That original album got me through the pandemic.”The bubblegum-pop star’s new EP features 10 tracks including the Paris Hilton collaboration ‘All She Wants’, which follows their team up on the reimagining of Hilton’s 2006 debut ‘Stars Are Blind’.The singer also announced the album’s arrival on her social media, posting the cover art with the caption: “Problématique.
Kim Petras has released a new album titled Problématique due to overwhelming “fan demand” (according to a press release), in advance of her fall “Feed The Beast” tour. The 10-track project, which partially leaked prior to today's release, includes “All She Wants,” featuring Paris Hilton, who enlisted Petras for “Paris’ Version” of her 2006 hit “Stars Are Blind” and also appeared in Petras’s music video for “I Don’t Want It All.” Petras’s “Feed The Beast” tour is scheduled to kick off September 24 at the Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas and run consistently across the United States and parts of Canada throughout the month of October, with several more dates scattered throughout November, including a performance at the Corona Capital festival in Mexico City.
Doja Cat will release her eagerly-anticipated new album Scarlet next week, September 22, and has already teased her fans (not for the first time) with the singles "Attention," "Demons," and the Hot 100-topping "Paint The Town Red." Today she has shared what is presumably the final release before the album, a song titled "Balut." It's another song in which Doja is in her rap bag, spitting lines like "I’m the shit, you a real piece of shit/ I am needed, you a real needy bitch," over a minimal but crisp beat. It's safe to say, at this point, that you can probably wave goodbye to the idea of a German rave album for the time being.
