The United States could become more closely united with Canada and Mexico as there are reportedly negotiations in the works between the Biden administration and these countries to form a European Union-like agreement, according to Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz. Gaetz, R-FL, told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Friday that he was made aware of the backdoor talks by Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and said he has personally reached out to Secretary of State Antony Blinken for more information.

A group of roughly 30 Venezuelan migrants were surprised to learn that they will be returned to Mexico under a new Department of Homeland Security policy announced on Wednesday.  Fox News correspondent Griff Jenkins approached the migrants in Eagle Pass, Texas, shortly after they were apprehended on Thursday.  "Did you know Venezuelans will be returned to Mexico now?" Former Central Intelligence Agency officer David Priess defended being a signatory on a letter with more than two dozen other current and former intel agents and experts who claimed the New York Post's Hunter Biden laptop bombshell looked like a "Russian information operation." In October 2020, the Post broke the story about how then-Wilmington computer shopkeeper John-Paul Mac Isaac came into possession of the laptop first son Hunter Biden left at his store near Trolley Square.  A copy of the hard drive was provided to the FBI and another to former New York City Republican Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. "It is for all these reasons that we write to say that the arrival on the US political scene of emails purportedly belonging to Vice President Biden’s son Hunter, much of it related to his time serving on the Board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation," Priess and fellow signatories wrote in-part.

President Biden acknowledged the possibility of what he described as a "slight recession" could occur in the near future.  It was determined back in July that the U.S. suffered back-to-back consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth, which has long been the indicator of a recession. However, both the Biden administration and many members of the media have dismissed that long-standing definition.  During an interview on Tuesday, CNN's Jake Tapper asked the president, "Should the American people prepare for a recession?" "No," Biden initially responded.

Transgender women must still register for the military draft, according to the U.S. Selective Service.  "US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register," the Selective Service states on its official website.  Individuals who were born female, but identify as male do not need to register for the military draft, per the government.  The policy is not new, but gained attention after the Selective Service tweeted at parents on Friday, reminding them that their sons must register.  U.S.

The Biden administration says that it has reunified 500 migrant families who were separated during the Trump administration’s "zero tolerance" policy that aimed to stop illegal immigration into the U.S. "This is a significant milestone that reflects the tireless dedication of the many public servants in the Department of Homeland Security and across the federal government, including those in the Departments of Health and Human Services, State, and Justice," Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement.  "It is a milestone that we could not have achieved without the partnership and critical work of several incredibly committed non-governmental organizations," he said.

The Washington Post editorial board did not mince words about President Joe Biden’s attempts to persuade the Saudi Arabian government into helping with U.S. energy policy, saying the administration "failed" "badly."
