Robin Williams’ Daughter Slams AI Recreations of Him as ‘Disturbing’: ‘At Their Worst’ They Are a ‘Horrendous Frankenstein Monster’

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Robin Williams‘ daughter Zelda took to Instagram (via Entertainment Weekly) to rail against AI recreations of her father, the legendary comedian who died in 2014. Zelda called these recreations “personally disturbing.” SAG-AFTRA has listed AI recreations as a “a mandatory subject of bargaining” in its ongoing strike against the AMPTP, including “the use of performer’s voice, likeness or performance to train an artificial intelligence system designed to generate new visual, audio, or audiovisual content.” “I am not an impartial voice in SAG’s fight against AI,” Zelda wrote on Instagram.

‘Saw X’ Leads Previews With $2M, ‘The Creator’ $1.6M – Box Office

Hopefully three wide releases can wake up what’s been a relatively sleep time at the box office, ratcheted down by the SAG-AFTRA strike. With New Regency/20th Century Studios/Disney’s original Gareth Edwards sci-fi movie The Creator, Paramount and Spin Master’s PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, and Lionsgate’s Saw X, the top three movies look to make around $45M. All three of them are vying for No. 1 with a high teens take, however, it’s likely a two-way race between PAW Patrol 2 and The Creator since both pics have had the loudest marketing campaigns, and Lionsgate usually executes their smaller budgeted movies on the cheap.

Dancing with the Stars,” which was set to premiere its 32nd season on Tuesday, will be delayed due to the Writers Guild of America strike, ABC told USA TODAY.This news comes on the heels of one of the show’s contestants — former “Veep” star Matt Walsh — quick-stepping away from it in protest.“I am taking a pause from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ until an agreement is made with the WGA,” he said in a statement to Deadline. “I was excited to join the show and did so under the impression that it was not a WGA show and fell under a different agreement.”Other actors part of the SAG-AFTRA actors’ union, which joined the WGA strike in July, who are competing this season include “American Pie’s” Alyson Hannigan; Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn; Barry Williams, aka Greg from “The Brady Bunch;” Mira Sorvino; “Vanderpump Rules'” star Ariana Madix and Xochitl Gomez, who starred in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”SAG-AFTRA has made it clear that it supports the actors in their TV dance floor endeavors.

'William and Kate hiring CEO shows they are taking control and moving monarchy into new age'

The Prince and Princess of Wales recently left little doubt that they intend to secure their future as a forward-thinking brand with the news that they are looking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).The successful applicant must "bring a track record of strategic and cultural leadership in complex, fast-paced settings, and the ability to demonstrate core values of discretion, humility, integrity, and diplomacy", as well as have a "low ego".They will head up around 60 people and be answerable to the royal couple themselves. This move is a first for members of the Royal Family, but has only served to cement the couple's plans to modernise the monarchy, with former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond saying it shows the couple are "taking control" of their working lives.

'Meghan was naive saying royals were too formal in private - they are just like any family'

The recent appearance of the Princess Royal and the Prince and Princess of Wales on Mike Tindall's podcast 'The Good, the Bad and the Rugby' served to prove that the Royal Family are great fun behind closed doors and enjoy everything from playing beer pong to racing in barefoot to cold water swimming. This clear sense of fun and informality jars with claims made by Meghan Markle on her and Prince Harry's Netflix series that the Royal Family are standoffish in private. She said: "I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside. That there is a forward-facing way of being and then you close the door and 'phew I can relax now' but that formality carries over on both sides.
