Freaky Friday was originally a 1972 novel written by Mary Rodgers. It was first adapted into a movie in 1976, starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster as the mother and daughter. In 1995, it was adapted for a Disney TV movie starring Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffman, with Jamie Lee and Linday’s iconic version following in 2003.The 2003 version made $160m worldwide - from a budget of just $20m - and helped launch the film career of Lindsay Lohan.
