Dish Network Mogul Charlie Ergen's Pay Rises to $94.7 Million in 2020

It’s been a year since he shot to fame setting pulses racing with his famous chain and GAA shorts on Normal People. And now Paul Mescal has rounded off his first 12 months in the spotlight with a place on the coveted Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

ViacomCBS has disclosed the compensation for its top executives, in its second proxy filing since its creation via the recombination of Viacom and CBS Corp. The Redstone family-controlled company said in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that CEO Bob Bakish received $39 million in 2020, compared with his overall 2019 pay of nearly $36.6 million.

Cinemark Holdings Inc. CEO Mark Zoradi saw his total compensation for 2020 rise to $6.9 million, compared to $6.3 million in 2019, according to the company's proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

Hans Vestberg, chairman and CEO of telecom giant Verizon, saw his 2020 overall compensation rise to $19.09 million, up from $18.09 million in 2019. In a Monday SEC filing, Verizon revealed Vestberg's base salary was $1.5 million for the last two years, but he received $13.3 million in stock awards last year, compared to $12 million in 2019.

On Saturday, San Diego Comic-Con announced dates for its first in-person convention since 2019.

Charter Communications chairman and CEO Thomas Rutledge received compensation worth $38.8 million in 2020, a big jump from $8.74 million in 2019 and $8.15 million in 2018.
