Its worldwide total currently stands at $150million (£118.4million).In the US, it made its debut pulling in $39million (£30.8million) over the weekend to top the box office and enjoyed strong openings in France at $5.1million (£4million) and Australia $4million (£3.2million).The UK/Ireland leads the international pack with $23.2million (£18.3million) after 10 days, ahead of Mexico with $11.2million (£8.3million).

It’s told through the personal prism of Al-Kateab while she is coming to terms with the reality that she can never return to Aleppo, where she shot “For Sama.” The doc premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June and had an Oscar-qualifying theatrical run at New York City’s IFC Center in October.

BreAnna Bell Murray Bartlett, Annie Murphy, and “The Good Fight” alum Christine Baranski have signed on to star in Season 2 of Hulu‘s “Nine Perfect Strangers” as series regulars along with Dolly De Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, King Princess, Aras Aydin and Lucas Englander. Bartlett (“The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus”) is set to portray Brian; Murphy and Baranski will take on the roles of Imogen and Victoria, respectively. Masters of the Air, a new series set for Apple TV+ from executive producers Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.The limited series comes to the streamer next year and stars Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Academy Award-nominee Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Ncuti Gatwa.Apple TV+ will release the first two episodes of its nine-episode season on Friday, January 26, followed by one new episode every Friday through March 15, 2024.Based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name, and scripted by John Orloff, “Masters of the Air” follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. Portraying the psychological and emotional price paid by these young men as they helped destroy the horror of Hitler’s Third Reich, is at the heart of “Masters of the Air.” Some were shot down and captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. UPDATED: Apple TV+ has released the latest trailer for its epic World War II drama Masters of the Air. The trailer opens with Austin Butler‘s Maj. Gale ‘Buck’ Cleven promising to write letters to his girl while he is away, because “a girl worth writin’ to is hard to find.”

Deadline’s Read the Screenplay series spotlighting the year’s most talked-about scripts continues with Neon’s murder mystery Anatomy of a Fall. The Cannes Palme d’Or winner from French filmmaker Justine Triet (only the third woman ever to take that top prize) is co-written by Triet and Arthur Harari. Last week, it scooped Best International Feature and Best Screenplay at the Gotham Awards. 

It’s been about ten years since filmmaker Jonathan Glazer’s last feature, the chilling and dazzling “Under The Skin,” starring Scarlett Johansson as an alien who begins to learn empathy. His latest, “The Zone Of Interest,” is arguably the opposite, about a family and community of affluent Germans and Nazis, who arguably ignore their sense of empathy, living next door to the most famous concentration camp of all time.
