Marcus Rashford is back playing with a smile on his face and that will only benefit Manchester United in the quest for Champions League qualification.
That's the message from former United favourite, Dimitar Berbatov, who has no doubt that Rashford will continue to emerge from a challenging period - during which time his attitude and body language were questioned.
Having undergone shoulder surgery last summer following his return from Euro 2020 duty, the England star scored twice in three early-season outings.
However, the 24-year-old then went 11 games without scoring.
A return to the scoresheet helped United to victory over Brentford - and Rashford backed that up with a dramatic last-gasp winner against West Ham. It was a 93rd-minute strike that moved the Old Trafford side up to fourth place in what is shaping up to be an intense battle with Arsenal, Tottenham and the Hammers.
Speaking about Rashford in his role as a Betfair ambassador, Berbatov said: "It's normal in football to go through a bad patch. You don't score and you feel bad and people criticise you. You also know that all of a sudden things can turn around, you start scoring and playing well again.
"The two goals Rashford has just scored will be good for his confidence, it's about how fast he can get out of that that moment where you aren't scoring. Fortunately, everybody connected with United will be happy that he's back to scoring and looking like he's enjoying himself again.
"You could see that when he scored that last goal and how much emotion he put into his celebration. It was great to see him score again."
Berbatov added: "It's good for him he's getting back to his normal self and the positive way of playing and scoring.
