Dick Clark Productions said Monday that it has hired Apple Music executive Sara Kantathavorn as its SVP Talent Strategy and upped Jeremy Lowe to VP Talent and Partnerships.
The moves boost the talent division of live event producer DCP, which is behind productions including the Golden Globes, Billboard Music Awards, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest and more. The company has been adding to its ranks since it was acquired in January by Penske Media Eldridge, a Penske Media Corp. subsidiary and joint venture between Deadline owner PMC and Eldridge.
Kantathavorn, who had previous stints at Viacom Digital Studios, AwesomenessTV, Revolt TV and mun2, spent the past five years at Apple Music, where she started as Head of Talent Bookings across Apple Music Radio. Most recently, as Head of Global Talent Development, she managed Apple Music hosts worldwide. At DCP, she will oversee the talent team, which is responsible for managing artist relationships and leading talent strategy.
Lowe, who joined DCP as a social media intern in 2009, was promoted from his role as Executive Director, Marketing & Talent Partnerships.
“Sara’s experience leading talent teams and strategy coupled with Jeremy’s enthusiasm and passion for artist discovery make for a winning combination,” said Jay Penske, CEO, chairman and founder, Penske Media and CEO, Dick Clark Productions. “Talent will always be at the core of everything we do at DCP.”
DCP’s talent division also includes Senior Manager, Talent, Nina Kolb; Senior Manager, Talent, Anthony Conway; and Manager, Talent, Lexi Lampkin. The team is based in Los Angeles.
