'Devastated' family say life will 'never be the same' after son stabbed to death

The heartbroken family of a teenager who tragically lost his life after being stabbed say their lives will 'never be the same without him'. Kyle Hackland, 17 was murdered on Southlea Road in South Manchester at around 11:30am on November 22, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Police raced to the scene and Kyle was rushed to hospital but he sadly died from his severe injuries. His heartbroken family paid an emotional tribute to their son on November 23 as they said they are 'devastated' by the death of their ''kind and well-mannered young boy'.
Their statement said: “We are devastated by the death of our beloved Kyle. He was such a kind and well-mannered young boy who always looked out for his family – never failing to say “love you” as he walked out the door.
“There are no words that can even begin to describe the pain we feel. We have always been such a close family, and this has shattered us all.
"He will forever be missed as a beautiful son as well as a caring and helpful big brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Life will never be the same without him, we are completely broken."
Detectives have launched a murder investigation as forensics remained at the cordon throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. Touching bouquets and balloons have been left at the scene just metres away from the Incident happened to commemorate the memory of the teenager.
Police have confirmed that the attack was 'not random' and that there is no threat to the public. Kyle's family are currently being supported by specialist officers following his murder.
Police responded to the stabbing by enforcing an increased stop-and-search powers throughout the area on Wednesday in a bid to reassure the horrified community startled by the incident.
