As a joint session of Congress votes to certify Joe Biden officially as the winner of the 2020 presidential election, irate protestors outside the Capitol, convinced that votes were stolen from President Donald Trump, stormed the building. Senators and Congressmen inside the building were forced to evacuate as hundreds of protestors slammed past Capitol police and security barricades, attempting to break into the chambers.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn mocked Vice President Mike Pence after he unveiled that the name for members of the Space Force is similar to his movie franchise.  On Friday, Pence revealed that troops in the sixth branch of the military will be known as "guardians."  "It is my honor, on behalf of the president of the United States, to announce that henceforth the men and women of the United States Space Force will be known as guardians," he said at the White House.

On Friday, Vice President Mike Pence celebrated the one year anniversary of Donald Trump’s new branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the Space Force. Pence did so by announcing that — as those serving in the Navy are known as sailors and those in the army are known as soldiers — “henceforth, the members of the United States Space Force will be known as ‘guardians.'”
