Bungie is already teasing the future of Destiny 2 after releasing The Final Shape expansion.Final Shape launched earlier this month and brought an end to 10 years of stories and adventures. However, Bungie is already teasing fans with what comes next.In a new video, titled The Journey Ahead, developers gave fans a better look at episodes, which are due to replace seasons. These items are a direct result of the battle with The Witness, which featured in The Final Shape expansion.Bungie also gave a quick glimpse at follow-up “dark-fantasy” episode Revenant, which is Fallen-themed and introduces a new potion-crafting system, and Hersey, which will take players back to the Dreadnaught. Each Destiny 2 episode will have “twists and turns”.
Year 10 will also give players more agency in their decisions, and the rewards they receive. The first episode launched this week, with further episodes due to release between July and October. The video also gave players a quick glimpse at year 11 on Destiny 2. Text reading “Codename: Frontiers” appears, before a message saying “the journey continues.
