A delivery driver has shared his top trick to prevent a car's windscreen from icing up and all it takes is a bottle of vodka.
Jack Mentiply, 26, says he saves anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes on his rounds by preventing his car's windscreen from icing up. He claims a spray containing vodka on a car windscreen and a "few shots" in the screenwash refill is the perfect hack.
He also claims that any "cheap" bottle of the spirit will work as well. Jack explained that his £7.99 bottle of booze "will not freeze" and thus prevents anything from icing up overnight.

Jack, from Albrough, Scotland, said: "I thought it was a more well-known trick to be honest. It is something that I have known for quite a long time, and I have been doing it since I have been driving.
"I was outside doing it the day before I put the original video up, and my neighbour asked me what I was doing. Vodka is what I have always used.
"It is very strong so I would have thought it will be the best type of alcohol to use."
Jack shared his trick on TikTok and quickly racked up more than 1.8 million views. He also included a bonus hack where you can create a vodka screen spray so you don't have to pour it clumsily.
He said: "If you get a spray bottle, and put the top part on the vodka bottle, it will last longer."
He highlighted that timing is key with this trick and that motorists should use it before they go to bed at night. He added: "If you go outside at night and put it on your windscreen, it is far more effective."
