Burna Boy has announced the release of his next album, ‘Love, Damini’.The ‘On The Low’ hitmaker became the first Nigerian artist to headline a concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday night (April 28).During the show, Burna Boy revealed his new album will be called ‘Love, Damini’, which a press release later stated “is set to release for his 31st birthday,” which would be July 2.However, according to Pitchfork, representatives for the artist have said his sixth LP does not currently have a firm release date.‘Love, Damini’ will be the follow-up to Burna Boy’s 2020 album, the Grammy-winning ‘Twice As Tall’. Since releasing the LP, he’s released numerous singles, including ’20 10 20′, ‘Kilometre’, ‘Question’, ‘Want It All’, and ‘B.

Sofi Tukker have shared a new nostalgic single, ‘Summer In New York’ from their second album, ‘Wet Tennis’ which is out today (April 29) via Ultra / Sony Music.The duo have said that the album title is an acronym meaning: When Everyone Tries to Evolve, Nothing Negative Is Safe. They also noted that the electro-pop record is intended to be a celebration of self-empowerment, owning your right to pleasure, and liberating yourself from outside constraints.Their latest track, ‘Summer In New York’, is an ode to the city where the pair got their start.

Andrew Bird has announced details of his new album ‘Inside Problems’ – you can listen to his new single ‘Underlands’ below.The US singer/songwriter will follow up his 2020 solo album ‘Hark!’ with the new record, which is set for release on June 3 via Loma Vista / Concord.Speaking about ‘Inside Problems’, which was produced by Mike Viola and recorded live by Bird and his four-piece band, Bird said: “I have so much fun taking my ideas apart before they really have defined themselves as distinct songs, when they’re still in that amoeba-like state.“I love the feeling of chasing ideas and having them split off and go hang out with another idea and then butting them up against each other to see if they talk to each other.”Bird has previewed ‘Inside Problems’ this week with the single ‘Underlands’, which you can hear above.“You just don’t know what’s under the surface, be it the land, the sea, our skin,” Bird explained in a press release about the track. “You could be whistling away, projecting contentedness, when really there’s a swirling twisted mess underneath.

Killer Mike has revealed in a new interview that Run The Jewels have begun work on their next album.Killer Mike and El-P’s last full release together as RTJ was June 2020’s ‘RTJ4’, which won NME‘s Album of the Year in 2020.The duo have now started to look towards making their next record, according to a new interview with Killer Mike.Speaking to Consequence, Mike said: “I say this with a smile and a wink — me and El-P were in the studio together.“We may have messed around and started ‘Run The Jewels 5’. So we’ll see what happens.”The rapper added that RTJ fans should also expect more music from the duo (“I would say look for Run the Jewels to pop up on some guest appearances”), as well as solo features from Mike himself: “I’ve done some solo guest appearances as well.

Hot Chip have announced details of their new album ‘Freakout/Release’ – you can hear their new single ‘Down’ below.The forthcoming record will be the follow-up to the five-piece’s ‘A Bath Full Of Ecstasy’, which was released back in June 2019.Hot Chip’s eighth studio album ‘Freakout/Release’ will be released on August 19 via Domino. Written and recorded in the band’s Relax & Enjoy studio in east London, the making of the album was particularly inspired by the band’s regular live cover of Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’.“The idea of being out of control is always there in dance music, in a positive sense,” Hot Chip’s Al Doyle said in a press release in relation to the cover’s influence on the new album, with frontman Alexis Taylor adding: “By the time we were able to be back together, we were turning on a tap and having a lot of ideas being poured out quite quickly.”In regards to the lyrical themes of ‘Freakout/Release’, Joe Goddard said: “We were living through a period where it was very easy to feel like people were losing control of their lives in different ways. Kendrick Lamar has finally revealed key details of his long-awaited fifth studio album. The Los Angeles rapper tweeted a link to his website oklama.com with a new press release announcing the album's title as Mr Morale & The Big Steppers with a release date of May 13, 2022.

Kendrick Lamar has today (April 18) announced details of a new album, ‘Mr Morale & The Big Steppers’.The rapper, who is due to headline Glastonbury this summer alongside Paul McCartney and Billie Eilish, tweet out a new link to his Oklahoma website where he revealed the album’s new title along with its release date.
