Deborah James shared her final wish for "more life" with her children as she appeared on BBC Breakfast today (11 May).The 40 year old star, who has been battling bowel cancer for five years, announced to her Instagram followers that she has reached the final stage of her life earlier this week. In a devastating post that saw the author saying "goodbye" and revealing she is now receiving at-home hospice care, mum-of-two Deborah also launched a JustGiving page to raise money for others with the disease. Speaking from home on the show, which also saw Sally Nugent breaking down in tears the day before over the sad news, Deborah explained that she was certain her children Hugo, 14, and Eloise, 12, would be ok with her husband and their father Sebastian Bowen.
Yet she was devastated by the knowledge that she will "miss every chance she could have had" with her kids. And as she shared her final message to viewers, the star urged: "Please, please just enjoy life because it's so precious. "All I want right now is more time and more life," the brunette star, who had opted for a poppy-print frilly dress and beautiful sunflower earrings for the interview, said. "I've always said I don't want to leave any stone unturned - I don't think there isn't a stone we haven't tried to un-turn to make my liver work again in order to get my body functioning," the journalist began in her interview. "Unfortunately I'm exhausted - I'm absolutely exhausted.
