As we told you, Deadpool 3 is moving off it summer start date of May 3, 2024, leaving the season without a kickoff film. The Shawn Levy directed pic, which is going back into production, will take over Captain America:Brave New World‘s release date of July 26 next year.
But Captain America won’t be kicking off summer, rather he’s moving to Feb. 14, 2025. We had heard that Captain America was in better shape than Deadpool 3, the latter 50% complete, and that Cap would fire off summer. Nope. Not happening.
Marvel’s Thunderbolts which didn’t even start production due to the dual strikes, now goes from Dec. 20, 2024 to July 25, 2025.
More moves by Disney include Mufasa: The Lion King sequel gong from July 5, 2024 to Dec. 20, 2024.
Marvel Studios’ Blade goes from Feb. 14, 2025 to Nov. 7, 2025.
Disney also scrubbed from the schedule two untitled movies on July 25, 2025 and Nov. 7, 2025.
