Lisandro Martinez's new shirt number for Manchester United has been announced - and the fans love it.
The Argentinian was finally announced as a United player on Wednesday after the deal had been all but confirmed for weeks. The new defender was pictured being driven into Carrington by fellow new signing Christian Eriksen - the pair share a common bond of both having played for Ajax, albeit not at the same time.
It wasn't long before the 24-year-old was put through his paces as he took part in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Wrexham. It was the first chance that Martinez had to play alongside his new teammates after he missed out on the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

After putting pen to paper for a contract that will see Martinez stay at United until 2027 - the formalities were complete. There was just the small addition of the defender's new shirt number being announced - and it has caused quite a stir on social media among the fans.
United announced that Martinez will wear the number six shirt heading into the 2022/23 season. The club took to Twitter to confirm the news as they posted a picture of the signing's brand new shirt.
It didn't take long before United fans picked up on the fact that Martinez avoided picking the number 21 shirt - the current number of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong. They also shared their delight over what they saw as an 'upgrade' on the last person to wear the number for the club - Paul Pogba.
As the news broke, fans took to social media to share their reactions:
