David McCallum has sadly died at the age of 90.
The long time Scottish-born film and television actor, who is best known for NCIS and Man From U.N.C.L.E., passed away on Monday, September 25, according to THR.

According to a CBS spokesperson, David passed away surrounded by his friends and family, from natural causes at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
David is best known for his role as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard on NCIS, portraying the Medical Examiner turned NCIS historian from the first season until its’ most recent.
He is also known as secret agent Ilya Kuryakin from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie, and NCIS fans will know that there’s a funny joke about his connection to the movie in the television show.
“For over 20 years, David McCallum endeared himself to audiences around the world playing the wise, quirky, and sometimes enigmatic, Dr. Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard. But as much as his fans may have loved him, those who worked side by side with David loved him that much more,” a statement from NCIS executive producers Steven D. Binder and David North read about David‘s passing.
It continued, “He was a scholar and a gentleman, always gracious, a consummate professional, and never one to pass up a joke. From day one, it was an honor to work with him and he never let us down. He was, quite simply, a legend. He was also family and will be deeply missed.”
David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katherine, and his children, Val, Jason, Sophie, Peter and Paul.
There’s been no statement about how Ducky will be written out of the show just yet.
