David E. Talbert & Lynn Sisson-Talbert’s Golden Alchemy Entertainment Appoints Jim Miller As Head Of Film, Tessie Goodrich As Vice President Of Development

Lindsay Lohan is talking about if she’s down to make sequels to some of her past film hits like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls.

Universal Pictures has snapped up rights to This Bird Has Flown, the upcoming debut novel from The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs, who will adapt her own work for the screen. 

Netflix has landed feature rights to Seesaw Monster — a 2019 book by Kotaro Isaka, whose novel Maria Beetle was recently adapted into the David Leitch actioner Bullet Train for Sony, starring Brad Pitt. 

Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek Pinault are teaming up to star in and produce action-comedy “Seesaw Monster.” Netflix acquired the rights to the book by Kotaro Isaka (the author of “Bullet Train”), with Olivia Milch (“Ocean’s Eight”) attached to adapt the screenplay.While plot details are being kept under wraps, Hathaway and Hayek Pinault will play enemies forced to work together in an action comedy two-hander. Joining the pair on the producing side are Akiva Goldsman and Gregory Lessans for Weed Road Pictures, and “Bullet Train” producers Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada for CTB Inc.

Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is soon interrupted as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets.Principal photography will commence in January 2023.Sweeney and Jonathan Davino will produce for Fifty-Fifty Films alongside David Bernad (“The Mule,” “The White Lotus”), who developed the project with Sweeney following their collaboration on “The White Lotus,” along with Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler producing for Black Bear.
