David Beckham makes solo appearance at Ballon d'Or as Rebecca Loos hits out at 'horrific' trolling

David Beckham attended the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris alone, just a few hours after Rebecca Loos spoke out about his Netflix documentary. The football legend was there to see Lionel Messi, who now plays for his team Inter Miami, win his eighth Ballon d'Or.
David arrived without his wife Victoria, while Rebecca Loos, who once claimed she had an affair with him, said his Netflix documentary has led to her facing "horrific" online abuse. She told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "When this documentary came out, I tried very hard to let it go and get on with my life, but it really bothered me the little angle and how he played the narrative and how misleading it is and how it's making me look like the bad person." She added: "Of course, I am also guilty, it takes two to tango, it's not all his fault but it's both of us." Rebecca spoke about the abuse she received, saying: "I woke up to all these horrific messages on Instagram being called horrible names, awful trolling.
I had heard about trolling before but never experienced it because 20 years ago we didn't have social media. "I would rather not have had to talk about it again.
I had left it behind me, I had moved very much on with my life." Claims of an affair have always been denied by the Beckhams. In the documentary, Victoria addressed the affair rumours, as she said it was "the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us and we were against each other".
