Danny McBride Is Developing a Garbage Pail Kids Animated Series for HBO Max

If you haven't heard already, Kristen Bell went back to the booth to voice our favorite anonymous troublemaker, Gossip Girl, and she's pretty excited about it. «It's such a fun show to watch… I'm really excited,» Bell told ET back in November 2019, soon after HBO Max announced that she was reprising her voiceover role for the reboot. Bell explained that the narrator is really «the catty version» of her voice, to complement the nature of the show, and she couldn't wait to get back into it.

“Gossip Girl” is back. And if you’re a person of a certain age, this is big news, as HBO Max is reviving the teen soap for a new run with brand-new characters and situations.

Believe it or not, today marks the one-year anniversary of WarnerMedia launching HBO Max. Boy, oh boy, what a year it’s been! We’ve seen the streaming platform launch with a fairly tepid response only to see the publicity explode when the studio announced that all of WB’s 2021 films would be debuting on the streaming service the same day as theatrical, making HBO Max one of the must-buy streaming services for blockbuster films.

It’s official. Chris Noth will reunite with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis to reprise his role of Mr. Big in HBO Max’s Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…. Noth had been in talks for awhile to reprise the role, even amid reports that he was not planning to return for the sequel series.

Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have not been shy about talking about a proposed reboot of the “Evil Dead” franchise. In fact, a year ago, Campbell talked about how director Lee Cronin was handpicked by Raimi to take the reins of the new film in the franchise.

The Garbage Pail Kids will go from trading card to screen in an animated series in the works at HBO Max.

HBO Max on June 1, where they will be available to subscribers for only one month, through June 30.HBO Max launched with the beloved wizard franchise last year, only to see its witches and wizards depart the streaming service at the end of August 2020.
