Dancing On Ice finale 'postponed' in major TV schedule shake-up due to football

The Dancing on Ice finale has been rescheduled for a later date to make way for a football match, according to reports. Viewers of the hit dancing realty TV series were expecting the grand final to air on 20 March but they'll now reportedly have to wait a week longer.
The final is said to have been pushed back to 27 March, with the FA Cup Quarter Final airing on its earlier scheduled date.The match, which will see Liverpool play Nottingham Forest, is due to kick off at 6pm —making Dancing on Ice’s start time of 6.30pm impossible to take place. OK! has contacted ITV representatives for comment.This shake-up comes after host Phillip Schofield claimed Dancing on Ice had “one of the best shows" in its history last week, after several couples received top marks for their routines.
The 59 year old praised the top quality skills of the celebrities, along with co-presenter Holly Willoughby, as contestants Brendan Cole, Kimberley Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne were each given the maximum score of 40 points. BMX Olympic medal winner Kye Whyte found himself in the bottom two once again and was unanimously saved in the vote off by the judges while Stef Reid was sent home, leaving fans on Twitter divided by the decision.

In a shake-up to its typical Sunday schedule, ITV has confirmed that the Dancing on Ice final will not air on Sunday 20 March, due to a scheduling conflict.The dancing show's finale has been pushed back by a week so the channel can cover the FA Cup quarter-final match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.The football match is due to kick off at 5.15pm and coverage will be on ITV for three hours, meaning that the programme would clash with Dancing on Ice’s usual prime-time 6.30pm slot on ITV1.
