Brad Pitt is getting ready to race in the F1. The Hollywood star is set to compete with British racing driver Lewis Hamilton this summer as part of his upcoming film.

It seems the Hollywood star allowed a widowed man to live in his Los Angeles residence until his death at 105, according to actress Cassandra Peterson, best known for her iconic ‘Elvira’ character.Cassandra was the previous owner of the property located in Los Feliz, California, until 1994 when the actor bought it.

Brad Pitt generously helped out his 105-year-old neighbor. The actor, 59, allowed his elderly neighbor to live in a Los Angeles home rent-free, according to People magazine.  Pitt reportedly bought the home for $1.7 million from Elvira of "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark," aka Cassandra Peterson, in 1994 and sold it in March for $40 million. Angelina Jolie's ex-husband was expanding his real estate portfolio, which included the home his elderly neighbor lived in.

Following months of meetings, auditions and even several days of driving tests, Apple Studios, Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer look to have found their race car driver to steer their anticipated racing film set in the world of F1. Sources tell Deadline that Damson Idris has been tapped to co-star opposite Brad Pitt. Kosinski is directing.

Damson Idris (“Snowfall”) is set to star opposite Brad Pitt in his Untitled Formula One racing feature from Joseph Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Plan B Entertainment, Apple Original Films announced on Friday.Kosinski (“Top Gun: Maverick”) is set to direct, as well as produce.Academy Award-nominee Ehren Kruger (“Top Gun: Maverick”) wrote the script.The untitled Formula One racing feature stars Pitt as a former driver who returns to the sport. Apple Original Films has partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment and set a November 22 worldwide theatrical release launch for Napoleon, the historical action epic directed by Ridley Scott that stars Joaquin Phoenix as French conqueror Napoleon Bonaparte and Vanessa Kirby as Empress Josephine. After the theatrical run, the film will stream globally on Apple TV+.

But before Pitt was the owner, the home belonged to Cassandra Peterson, also known as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
