Blade director Bassam Tariq has exited the project weeks before filming is scheduled to begin.The upcoming Marvel reboot, which stars Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) as the vampire hunter, was set to start shooting in November in Atlanta, US.As confirmed by Marvel to The Hollywood Reporter, Tariq, known for helming 2020 drama film Mogul Mowgli, will no longer direct the project.“Due to continued shifts in our production schedule, Bassam is no longer moving forward as director of Blade but will remain an executive producer on the film,” Marvel said in a statement to the outlet. “We appreciate Bassam’s talent and all the work he’s done getting Blade to where it is.”In a separate statement, Tariq said: “It’s been an honour working with the wonderful folks at Marvel.

True Detective season four, according to reports.Eccleston, known for roles in Doctor Who and The Leftovers, will star in the fourth season as Ted Corsaro, described as a “regional chief of police and a political animal,” as reported by Variety. Killing Eve actor Shaw will play Rose Aguineau, a “survivalist with a past full of secrets”.Other new cast members include John Hawkes (Deadwood) as Hank Prior, a police officer with “old grudges hiding under a quiet surface”.

HBO is rounding out the cast for True Detective: Night Country. John Hawkes (Deadwood, Winter’s Bone), Christopher Eccleston (The Leftovers), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Finn Bennett (Domina) and Anna Lambe (Three Pines) are set as leads alongside Jodie Foster and Kali Reis in Season 4 of the crime anthology series.

Matthew McConaughey is not letting being blackmailed into sex at 15 or being molested by a man at 18 make him "afraid of relationships." The Daily Mail and said that an anonymous letter was sent to the film’s studio Skydance accusing him of 40 years ago having “touched someone outside their clothes and referring to the female athletes he coached by inappropriate nicknames. Kinder in his interview with The Daily Mail denied any misconduct and further said he was shocked at the news from earlier this week that the film will not move forward. Kinder said he was contacted by investigators hired by Skydance after the letter was received and that he and the other subjects of the film, now all adult women, had informed him there was “nothing there” in terms of the investigations.

"Dallas Sting" was supposed to be set in 1984, and McConaughey was to star as the team’s coach, Bill Kinder.  Marvel’s "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s" director Kari Skogland and Berlanti Schechter Productions were projected to work on the inspiring sports film.

Skydance will no longer move forward with a film called “Dallas Sting” meant to star Matthew McConaughey after an investigation into the film’s true story uncovered disturbing allegations, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.The film from director Kari Skogland (Marvel’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”) was meant to kick off production in six weeks and had nearly completed casting. “Dallas Sting” is the true story of a high school girls soccer team that in 1984 went to China and managed to beat some of the best women’s teams in the world from China, Australia, Japan and finally Italy in a championship game.

The Rocky-esque fact-based women’s soccer film Dallas Sting has been abruptly scrapped six weeks from start of production. Full details weren’t yet forthcoming, but pic was scrapped over an impropriety that Skydance and the producers were made aware of. After they investigated, the allegations were serious enough to get them to pull out of the movie. Also out is Matthew McConaughey who was set to star as the coach of a  group of Dallas high school girls who headed to China in 1984 and beat some of the best women’s teams from China, Australia and Italy. Kaitlyn Dever was set to play the coach’s daughter.
