Ocean Colour Scene frontman Simon Fowler has opened up about being outed as gay by the tabloids in the 1990s.Speaking in a new interview for NME’s Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?! when asked about The Sun revealing his sexuality in 1998, Fowler said: “I don’t think it was a big deal. It was noticeable that our third album [1997’s] ‘Marchin’ Already’ went to Number One and knocked Oasis’ ‘Be Here Now’ off the top spot – which is when Noel Gallagher sent us a plaque: ‘Congratulations to the second greatest band in the world’.“But the album didn’t end up selling anywhere near as much as its predecessor, ‘Moseley Shoals’, overall.

Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis felt emotional watching a video clip of a young Ukrainian girl singing the country’s national anthem onstage during a major charity concert, weeks after she first went viral singing a song from Frozen in a bomb shelter. Introducing the clip on Monday’s Good Morning Britain, Susanna shared the ‘good news’ that Amelia Anisovych was now safe in Poland after fleeing Ukraine with her grandmother and brother Misha. The seven-year-old was able to escape her home country’s capital city of Kyiv shortly after her first video gained huge interest, and the 51-year-old presenter explained that Amelia was back and sharing her voice once more.

Hollywood stars have joined together to write a letter to City National’s parent company, the Royal Bank of Canada, to defund the Canada Gas pipeline. The letter, signed in solidarity, urges the Royal Bank of Canada to "withdraw support from the Coastal GasLink pipeline, effective immediately."  The letter goes on to say, "City National Bank's parent company Royal Bank of Canada is bankrolling the climate crisis and violating the rights of Indigenous Peoples."  Mark Ruffalo narrates a two-minute video explaining what the Coastal GasLink pipeline is doing to the land of the Wet’suwet’en nation.  (Getty Images) More than 65 celebrities, including Mark Ruffalo, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Stiller, Scarlett Johansson, Taika Waititi, Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, and Robert Downey Jr., banded together to send the letter to City National Bank’s parent company.  City National Bank has been dubbed as the "Bank of the Stars" and acquired the Royal Bank of Canada in 2015.  Some of the celebrities mentioned filmed a video together to raise awareness, using the hashtag, #NoMoreDirtyBanks.  Leonardo DiCaprio is joined by more than 65 other celebrities to protest the Royal Bank of Canada.

ITV Good Morning Britain made a radical change on Monday - after Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid swapped their desk for STOOLS. Fans of the show were left confused to see Richard and Susanna in a different part of the studio. The GMB presenters were in the studio sat on stools during one segment.

Good Morning Britain viewers were quick to spot a change to the programme and instantly thought it may be because of Richard Madeley.

BBC MasterChef stars Gregg Wallace and John Torode have announced a major change to the show. The pair of judges have shared the show is making a major change to its tried and tested formula. The duo are set to relocate to Birmingham for the 2024 series.
