A dad-of-three was on FaceTime to his wife when he suffered a stroke after shouting his daughters for help.
Wayne Burns had previously been healthy and had recently made lifestyle changes to support his medication for high blood pressure. He also had plans to join the gym with his daughter and cut out alcohol completely.
But during the early hours of last Friday morning, Wayne suddenly took ill at his home in St Helens and shouted out to his daughters when he realised something was wrong. Losing his co-ordination and eventually his speech, he was suffering from a suspected stroke.

After being rushed to hospital, doctors soon confirmed Wayne had suffered from a bleed stroke, which occurs when an artery suddenly starts bleeding into the brain and was put in an induced coma and ventilator where he has remained since.
Doctors are desperately trying to get Wayne to breathe on his own before they can see the extent of any brain damage.
Lindsay, who has worked as an A&E nurse for over 12 years, said: "I'm a locum nurse and took a short term contract at the Isle of Man so I'd just gone back when he'd had the stroke. Our 17-year-old was amazing, she called the ambulance and asked herself what would mum do. She rang me and I was on Facetime reassuring him telling him help was on the way.
