Dad brutally slain in Thailand knife attack 'for playing loud music' named

A man from the UK who was killed in a barbaric knife attack in Thailand has been named as father-of-two Marcus Evans.
Mr Evans, was slashed in the neck with a sickle-shaped blade during the early hours of Saturday morning in the Muang district of Kanchanaburi.
A second British man, who was with Mr Evans, was also seriously injured in the savage attack before being rushed to hospital.
Both men had been in each other’s company listening to music and drinking at a table past 3am when they were viciously attacked, according to local reports.
A 23-year-old Thai man was later arrested by police and charged with murder and attempted murder yesterday.
He is being held at the Muang district police station for further interrogation, according to Mirror Online.
Shocking photos from the scene show the ground and a table smeared with blood.
A sickle and a pair of slippers believed to belong to the attacker were also found.
Mr Evans originally from Somerset, was given heartfelt tributes online, including one from his devastated partner who confirmed in a social media post on Facebook.
She wrote: “And just like that another person I loved dearly…. Gone xxx.”
Adria Licci, 59, a friend of Mr Evans also living in Thailand, claimed he had arrived in the area on December 17.
He told The Sun Mr Evans and the other British victim knew their attacker and had previously given him cigarettes and had drinks with him.vv
Mr Licci said he was woken up by the trio shouting around 3am in the morning, despite not having seen them ever argue before.
He continued: “I came out of the room to see and found the wounded man and dead man lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
