‘Cyrano’ L.A. Red Carpet Premiere Postponed Due to COVID Concerns

HBO Max has canceled the January 8 red carpet Los Angeles premiere of James Gunn’s anticipated HBO Max series Peacemaker amid a surge of the Omicron variant. We hear the decision was made before the holidays out of an abundance of caution as Covid cases skyrocketed.

The Critics Choice Association announced today the postponement of the 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards which were to be presented on January 9, 2022.

Disney Plus’ “The Book of Boba Fett” has been postponed due to COVID concerns.“Out of an abundance of caution, we will be postponing the ‘Boba Fett’ fan event,” the studio said in a statement Wednesday morning. “It will be relocated to the 8th of February in celebration of the finale.”The special screening was originally scheduled for Jan.

The American Film Institute (AFI) announced today that  the AFI AWARDS luncheon is postponed. The Luncheon was scheduled to take place on  Friday, January 7, but due to concerns over the rising cases of Covid-19,  AFI will reschedule the event for a later date.
