Talk about an Oscars debut to remember: Two-time Academy Award nominee and first-time attendee Cynthia Erivo arrived at the red carpet on Sunday evening (Feb. 9) ready to slay.

The Academy Awards are a chance for many stars to pull out all the stops.

Double Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo took the stage at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday night to perform her song, "Stand Up," from Harriet.Clad in gold floor-length gown with a thigh-high gap, Erivo belted the powerful lyrics she wrote alongside Joshuah Brian Campbell for the best original song nominee against the a sunset backdrop.The 2020 Oscar double nominee was joined by a group of singers in gold and silver outfits.

Cynthia Erivo graced the stage tonight at the 2020 Oscars to perform “Stand Up.” The song appeared in Harriet, and is nominated tonight for Best Original Song.
