Hoysters - the beloved New York-inspired bar and restaurant in Ramsbottom - is set to close today after a decade. The restaurant, on Bolton Road, offered a unique blend of bistro fare during the day and a lively bar restaurant at night.
It became a staple in the community over the last 10 years. The owners have announced on social media the venue will be shut today (Friday, January 26) as the lease on the premises comes to an end.

In the post shared on Facebook, the team wrote: "Dear our loyal customers, sadly our lease is up and this Friday will be our last. Thank you to our customers, suppliers and entertainment for all your support over the last ten amazing years.
"Finally, thank you to our excellent staff members for all your hard work over the recent years, without you our business would not survive. Thank you all, Hoysters."
Customers and residents were quick to respond in the comments. One wrote: "Absolutely gutted. Thank you for all the lovely food and memories over the years."
Another added: "This is so sad! I was hoping the rumours weren’t true. I’ve had so many good times with friends in this bar, great food and fabulous cocktails. You will be sorely missed."
One customer said: "Truly gutted. I have made so many special memories in Hoysters. Huge love and thanks to the amazing Amanda and her team. Wishing you all the best for the future."
Another comment read: "Great place to eat and a great place to work. Almost a year for my daughter and she has loved every minute of working there. Great team of staff."
