Musician Milner is Nicky Chaos, a charismatic activist and revolutionary with a group of followers who wage war against the 1%; Doke is Sewer Girl, who’s part of Nicky Chaos’ crew; Abtahi is Detective Ali Parsa, the workaholic detective assigned to Samantha’s case; Munroe is Detective PJ McFadden, a no-nonsense cop working the case alongside Detective Parsa, and Mitchell is Amory, an influential and ruthless executive in Manhattan.The Apple Studios murder mystery is based on the novel of the same name by Garth Risk Hallberg, and set in 2003 while police are also trying to catch a serial arsonist.Principal photography is underway in New York City.“City on Fire” is produced by Apple Studios for Apple TV+.

Yossman Sony Pictures Television-owned “Sex Education” producer Eleven has promoted Carissa Hope Lynch to the position of creative director.She will report to Eleven founders Joel Wilson and Jamie Campbell.Hope Lynch has been at Eleven since 2019, working on projects including “White Stork” for Netflix and the upcoming young adult horror series “Red Rose” for the BBC and Netflix.

A warm and unflappable man, Will is Cole’s (de Metz) best friend and uncle to his two adult children.

Former Black Lightning star Cress Williams has been tapped as a lead opposite Scott Bakula, Anna Wood and Oluniké Adeliyi in NBC’s drama pilot Unbroken (working title). Also cast in the project, from New Amsterdam executive producer Shaun Cassidy and Universal Television, is newcomer Shian Tomlinson whose only previous TV credit is a guest spot on NBC/Uni TV drama New Amsterdam.
