Courteney Cox has a 17-year-old daughter at home named Coco whom she shares with ex-husband David Arquette. But soon Coco will go off to college leaving the Friends actress an empty nester in her Los Angeles mansion. And the 57-year-old brunette bombshell told Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday that makes her a bit 'sad' as she will miss her mini-me only child.
Cox said her daughter wants to go as far away as possible for college adding that will be hard for her. But Ellen joked it will be hard for Courteney, not for Coco, which won laughs from the audience. The Scream star said she has not yet prepared herself for the child going away but thinks she will cry when it happens.
'She's going to go as far away from L. A. as she can get,' said the Ace Ventura actress.
'We are so close, but she just can't wait to go away and live on her own. It's sad. 'But Cox has not felt the pain yet.
'There are people that get that empty nest syndrome, and my sister literally went crazy when her second moved out,' Courteney told Ellen. 'I haven't even thought about it, and I think [Coco]'s doing such a good job at prepping me for this,' she aded. 'She never leaves her room.
She's never home and if she is, literally the door is shut and I don't know what she's doing back there. But I don't think I'm going to be as affected. 'Ellen noted Courteney and Coco have their birthdays two days apart.
And Courteney said that Coco does not like that their birthdays are so close, especially one year when Courteney threw her birthday party on Coco's day. 'I used to be obsessed with birthdays but now you don't want to think about them,' said Courteney.
