Thousands of residents of the county have signed a petition that brands the awarding of royal titles such as the Sussexes as ‘morally wrong’ and ‘disrespectful.’
The titles are further referred to as ‘entirely non-democratic,’ while they are declared to be a ‘symbol of oppression of the general public by the wealthy elite.’
