Coronation Street fans think they have figured out Fern's downfall after she framed doppelgänger Bernie during Wednesday's episode in a jewellery heist. Only recently, Fern pretended to be Bernie and landed a job at a high-end cleaning agency, where she started working at an expensive jewellery shop. During the latest episode, Fern made sure Bernie had no alibi as she asked what her plans were that afternoon to which she admitted she was planning a quiet afternoon alone at home.
Waiting for her co-worker to go on lunch, Fern robbed the shop blind, getting caught on the CCTV camera as she bagged multiple pieces of jewellery. As Dev and Bernie headed back to No.5, a police officer approached Bernie and told her that she was arresting her on suspicion of theft. Bernie was left stunned over the news, especially as she was shown the CCTV footage of her robbing the jewellers at the police station.
However, the penny finally dropped when Bernie realised that she had been framed by Fern as she tried to tell the police what had happened. Viewers now think they have figured out Fern's downfall and an alibi for Bernie as they took to Twitter to share their theories. One person said: "Bernie’s mobile phone location and triangulation would prove her innocence.
#corrie." A different account put: "The CCTV is clear as day,,,,not grainy. Did the PC even look at the whole recording. If she thinks that's Bernie maybe she needs an eye test #Corrie." Another follower wrote: "She can be identified by the jeweller and cctv.
Every thing points to her. #Corrie." While a different viewer added: "There are several witnesses to back up Bernie’s statement Xxx." Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV. For all
