Deaths in care homes in South Lanarkshire linked to coronavirus fell by two thirds according to figures announced today.
Last week, deaths in care homes (eight) represented just a quarter of deaths from COVID-19, compared with almost 60 per cent (22) in the previous week.
Despite the fall last week, total deaths in care homes (96) still represents over 40 per cent of all coronavirus deaths in the region.
