Coronation Street viewers were open-mouthed as mild-mannered Roy Cropper acted out of character in Monday night's episode.
Quietly-spoken Roy confronted a furious row in his cafe when Tim Metcalfe came face-to-face with Alya Nazir.
Tim blasted Alya for speaking ill of his father Geoff, who was stabbed by her grandmother Yasmeen.
"That's enough!" yelled Roy, to the amazement of his customers.
"If you insist on addressing each other in this aggressive manner I suggest you go elsewhere," he ordered
