Coronation Street stalwart Charlie Lawson has issued a grim forecast for the future of the beloved soap, suggesting it could face its final curtain within the next ten years.

Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor was seen declaring her love for her former co-star as she marked a special occasion. The actress, took to social media to share a string of messages to Brooke Vincent.
Sally is famed for playing Sally Metcalfe - nee Webster - in the ITV soap while Brooke spent years playing her on-screen daughter Sophie Webster. While Sally is still a stalwart of the street, Brooke hasn't been seen on the cobbles since she headed on maternity leave in 2019 to welcome her first child.
But despite not working together anymore, their bond still remains. Last month, Brooke was supported by a number of her former castmates as she returned to home turf in her first-ever stage role in the late Kay Mellor's play The Syndicate, which is based on the BBC show of the same name.

Ryan Thomas and Corrie icon Barbara Knox were among those who headed to watch her at The Lowry and Sally was also seen posing for a snap with Brooke on the night itself and said: "Love you @brookelevivincent. Well done!"
Now, Sally has paid tribute to Brooke as she celebrated her 32nd birthday on Tuesday (June 4). Taking to Instagram, the 61-year-old shared a picture of Brooke's very own cast card from her early years as Sophie in Corrie. "Happy birthday to my youngest on-screen daughter @brookelevivincent," she said.
"Love you so much and so proud of you," she added alongside a string of red love hearts. She then shared a follow-up post featuring a snap from their recent reunion.
