Soaps have had to adapt over the past few months amid the coronavirus pandemi to keep on top of social distancing rules, and one such example of where this was slightly trickier was during Maria Connor and Gary Windass’ wedding.The Coronation Street characters wed, even though Gary is still very much in love with ex Sarah Platt, and their ceremony consisted of only a handful of guests in adhering to government rules.
