Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver 'joins this year's I’m A Celeb series'

Ahead of this year’s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! starting, many names have been tossed around under speculation that they could head to the Australian jungle. The latest is Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver, who is best known for playing Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap.
Sue, 59, will join a huge list of cobbles icons who have appeared on the show over the years - including Andy Whyment, who is set to star on the all-stars version in South Africa next year. A source told The Sun: “Sue is a very much-loved Street legend and the bosses are delighted to have her as part of the line-up this year. “She will be a brilliant addition, and is looking forward to really pushing out of her comfort zone and challenging herself in the jungle.” OK! has contacted representatives at ITV for comment.
Her other colleague Simon Gregson - who plays Steve McDonald - made it to the final on last year's show, which was based in Wales' Gwrych Castle. Sue, who made her debut on Corrie in 2000, first starred in Dinner Ladies. She has been a firm favourite on the show as single-mum Eileen who works the radio for Street Cars.
From her long-running bicker with Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, to a series of dramatic romances - Sue has kept viewers coming back for more.
