Coronation Street fans claim they have only 'just realised' a detail about Elaine Metcalfe as she was seen looking for a wedding outfit with her mother-in-law-to-be Audrey Roberts.
The character is currently preparing to marry Audrey's son Stephen Reid who, unbeknownst to her, has become Weatherfield's latest serial killer. And as a surprise for his wife-to-be during Wednesday night's (July 5) edition of the ITV soap, Stephen told Elaine that he’s booked her a wedding consultation with a personal shopper and claimed he was too busy so Audrey was going with her.
They later excitedly returned with their wedding outfits but Elaine's good mood was quickly broken when her son Tim once again made his dislike of Stephen clear, telling them not to bother sending him an invitation. Following her future husband's advice, Elaine was seen writing Tim a letter telling him how much he has hurt her and how she can't take anymore.

However, Stephen was then seen making a photocopy of the letter before hand-delivering the original letter to Tim, spinning a story to Elaine about Tim refusing to accept the note in a further bid to alienate her from her family.
And Corrie fans now think they have uncovered the unsuspecting killer's cruel intentions as once he was alone in the Underworld factory, he circled the line in Elaine's letter about how she couldn't take the pain anymore and started to trace it onto another piece of paper.
@cumiskey55 tweeted: "Stephen just got Elaine to write her own suicide note. #Corrie." @SineadPaghan posted: "Just thinking out loud here but might Stephen be writing a suicide letter for Elaine? #CoronationStreet
