The Night Shift star Eoin Macken has been tapped as the male lead opposite Natalie Zea in NBC’s drama pilot La Brea. Another NBC series star, Chicago P.D.‘s Jon Seda, is one of two actors, originally cast in the project a year ago and released in June, who have been brought back to reprise their role, along with Chiké Okonkwo.

Now, excitement is building for the dramatisation of Rooney’s debut work, Conversations With Friends, which is premiering on BBC Three in 2022.

Last year, Hulu’s “Normal People” became a massive hit for the streaming service, thanks in part to the best-selling source material from author Sally Rooney already having a ton of fans and also the two leads, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, turning in showstopping performances.
