A film panned by critics when it debuted ten years ago has suddenly become one of Netflix's most-watched.
Exodus: Gods and Kings, from highly-decorated director Ridley Scott, retells the biblical episode of the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt - kind of. Its all-star cast included Christian Bale as Moses, Joel Edgerton as Ramses and Sigourney Weaver as Tuya.
The film has now broken into the Netflix top 10 charts - a decade on from its release. It became the fourth most-watched film globally last week (January 1 - January 7), earning 7.4 million views.

Exodus, filmed across Spain and London's Pinewood Studios, has been praised for its visual effects and cast performances. But a number of other factors lead it to become flop.
Most notably, it received heavy criticism for its historical inaccuracies - including accusations of whitewashing - resulting in two countries banning the film. Scott's screenplay and pacing were also slammed.
On film review site Rotten Tomatoes, it currently has a critics score of just 31%. Kip Mooney of Central Track wrote: "How so many talented people came together here and just so completely whiffed on one of the most incredible stories ever written is beyond me."
Allen Almachar of The MacGuffin added: "Even if we don't consider the racial problems in casting, the emotional motivations are flimsy at best. No amount of pretty visuals can mask clunky dialogue and thinly veiled characters" as Sebastian Zavala Kahn of Cinencuentro slammed: "Scott tried to give the "epic" treatment to the Moses story, and failed."
