Delays are being reported with a major road in Salford still closed this morning after a burst pipe left a huge hole in it.
The A572 Worlsey Road in Swinton has been closed from the A580 East Lancs Road to A6 Manchester Road since early on Saturday morning.
There is also no access to or from Partington Lane or Eccles Road.

Courteeners have announced they’ll be performing a short run of new warm-up gigs ahead of their massive Old Trafford homecoming show.The Manchester band will play Leicester’s O2 Academy, Stoke-on-Trent’s Victoria Hall, and Halifax’s Victoria Theatre this coming September, with support coming from Zuzu.The gigs will precede Courteeners’ huge hometown show at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford cricket stadium on September 25, which sold out in just 90 minutes.

Bright Eyes have rescheduled their forthcoming UK and Ireland tour to 2022.The band were due to hit the road this August with shows in London, Manchester, Dublin, Birmingham and Glasgow.But due to the COVID pandemic they have now been forced to move the dates to August 2022 with their opening show at London Eventim Apollo kicking off on August 30.
