Coleen Nolan was ready to completely ditch dating apps but gave Tinder once last swipe before meeting current partner Michael Jones. The mother-of-three, 56, who split from her guitarist husband Ray Fensome in 2018 after 11 years of marriage, told the Daily Mirror she was ready to give up on love just before she met Michael, 57, online. She said: 'I was literally about to come off the app when I spotted Michael and swiped right.
'The Loose Woman explained how she'd been on a number of dates with different men but hadn't found anyone she felt she have a spark with. She added that one couldn't handle the fact she had a high profile career in the public eye. However, just when she was about to give up, she swiped right on Tinder and matched with Michael.
Coleen explained: 'I was fed up with it, but then Michael popped up. I thought, "Oh he’s nice" and something stopped me from deleting my account. 'Looking back, it wasn’t even that nice a picture of him, he looked like he’d just got out of bed, but something caught my eye and that was it.
' 'I swiped right, we got a match, and I’m so glad I did. 'After exchanging texts, the pair met up at a pub near between Coleen's home in Cheshire and where Michael lives in Warrington. The singer was due to perform on a cruise with her band The Nolans and she tried to put the date off until she returned to the UK but Michael insisted they meet up beforehand.
Coleen says she has never felt more confident going into a relationship, meaning seven months after their first date, they are going strong.
