Hubert Point-Du Jour (The Good Lord Bird), Jessica Allain (The Laundromat), Mishel Prada (Vida), Nhung Kate (The Housemaid) and Ben Robson (Animal Kingdom) are set as leads opposite Colin Woodell and Mel Gibson in Starz’s The Continental, the prequel to the Keanu Reeves film series John Wick. The Continental will be presented as a three-night special-event TV series, produced for Starz by Lionsgate Television.

She takes over heading up drama for the broadcaster from Brian Morewitz, whose exit was announced back in July.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse have announced the release of a new album called ‘Barn’.Set to arrive on December 10, the follow-up to 2019’s ‘Colorado’ comes after Young teased its arrival back in June, saying that “the Horse is back in the barn, shaking off the rust”.“We are so happy to be back in the barn, a barn built to replicate the 1850s barn that had collapsed in exactly the same place, high in the mountains of Colorado,” Young said.

EXCLUSIVE: NBC has opted not to proceed with its drama pilot Getaway. Headlined by Annie Ilonzeh, it starred two leads of recently canceled broadcast series that have since been resurrected, Manifest’s Matt Long and All Rise‘s Marg Helgenberger. Both actors are now available to do other shows, including their old ones, which both have been picked up for 20 episodes. Meanwhile, NBC’s other drama pilot, Dangerous Moms, remains in contention.

Omar Miller (Ballers) Erica Hernandez (Mission Unstoppable) and Mike O’Gorman (Vice Principals) are set as series regulars opposite Steve Howey and Ginger Gonzaga in True Lies, the CBS drama pilot adaptation of James Cameron’s 1994 action comedy movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis.

EXCLUSIVE: Love Is… alum Tyrone Marshall Brown is set as a series regular opposite Sydney Chandler in Showtime drama pilot Coercion. Sydney Park also stars in the wiip-produced drama.

FX has rounded out the series regular cast for drama pilot Kindred, based on an adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s influential novel. Joining newcomer Mallori Johnson, who stars, are Micah Stock, Ryan Kwanten, Gayle Rankin, Austin Smith, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy and David Alexander Kaplan.
