Netflix is giving fans a sneak peek at Cobra Kai season 5.
The streamer released several first look images from the upcoming season on Tuesday (August 9), teasing the return of one of the characters from the original Karate Kid films.

The photos reveal that Sean Kanan will reprise his role as Mike Barnes, who last made an appearance in Karate Kid III as a martial artist hired by Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) to bully Danny (Ralph Macchio) out of the All Valley Tournament.
There are also some new students in the mix, which makes sense considering how season 4 ended. In the most recent season finale, the Cobra Kai dojo won the All Valley Tournament, leading the Miyagi-Do Karate dojo to close its doors for good. Cobra Kai’s director Terry also announced that he’d be turning his dojo into a franchise, with plans to expand all over Los Angeles.

Shooting will start in the second quarter of 2023.
