Christine Baranski rocks a sharp suit for The Gilded Age special screening held at The Whitby Hotel in New York City on Tuesday (May 24).
The 70-year-old actress met up with her co-stars Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Denee Benton, Louisa Jacobson and Cynthia Nixon, and series showrunner/creator Julian Fellowes.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight recently, Cynthia and Christine opened up about being part of the period drama and learning from it as they work. “[It's] such a fascinating part of history, and New York history in particular,” Cynthia shared. “It’s a period that has so much in common with our own and I think it’s a period that people don’t know that much about.” Christine added that they “learn a lot about history.” “We’re so lucky as we say to be part of this world that [Julian] creates,” she continued, noting that everyone “not only enjoyed the stories,” but they all “loved the costumes and the sets and entertaining that fairy-tale world where manners were very strict and formal.”” Season two of the HBO series just started filming.
