Chris Farley Biopic in the Works With Paul Walter Hauser to Star, Josh Gad to Direct

EXCLUSIVE: Paul Walter Hauser‘s hot streak continues. After seeing New Line lock up rights to the authorized Chris Farley biopic in which he’ll star for director Josh Gad, the actor has signed on to the untitled Naked Gun reboot from Paramount Pictures.

The film, which has the blessing of the Farley family, will mark actor Josh Gad‘s directorial debut, with Lorne Michaels and Erin David producing via Broadway Video. Oscar and Emmy nominees Scott Neustadter and Michael H.

After Deadline broke the news last week that New Line was in pole position top land the package A Chris Farley Story, the studio made it official today having landed the biopic on the legendary comedian.  Paul Walter Hauser and to be directed by Josh Gad, with Lorne Michaels and Erin David producing via Broadway Video. Sources say the package sold in the $2.5 million dollar range.
